OMG Judy I am so very sad to hear of your break up with Tom. I have followed Scrumble and your Blog from the inception, it has been so inspirational to me and actually helped me to believe i could build a boat (35 foot powercat) too. I obviously don’t know any of the details but as I am in my third Marriage i can sympathise with the emotional torment and anguish involved. I do wish you and Tom the very best in your future endevours and hope that even though the partnership may have ended the friendship you had in the beginning will prevail.

The second option was to take it for a trip – just normal maintenance is all it would cost… – down to the Whitsundays and back. – Go for a break – It kept me saner than otherwise…

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. They really do help.
Bob Oram sent me a lovely email, with an attached drawing of a new smaller motor-sailer he is thinking of building. I did pause for a few seconds and think, hmmm, I could build that myself. But I am still too raw to consider such an undertaking yet.

My wife and I are builders down in Victoria and when we finish a hard time covered in dust and shards of glass we have looked forward to reading your blogs and viewing your photographs for inspirations.
