Toilets

We’ve had a look at a Wharram Tiki being built by Graham and Emma across the creek from us. They are approaching launch date and the boat is looking great. We got into a discussion about toilets, and I indicated a preference for Lavac toilets, based on what I had read. Turns out they have had one for sale for some time, still uninstalled, in it’s box for less than half the new purchase price. I spent a weekend researching all toilet options on the internet (just to be sure), and we are now the proud owners of one Lavac Toilet! We intend to use a portable toilet in the starboard hull, for a variety of reasons – less holes in the hulls, portability useful for night watches, offers greater flexibility and redundancy. It is strangely satisfying to have made a final decision on one of the many systems we will need to install.
