Postscript

It is time for this blog to be visible again. I am working on all the broken photo links and hope to complete the process in the coming months.

I now live in a beautiful Murray River township, with the same two dogs, Jem and Scout. My children are no longer children, and live just over an hour’s drive from me. Renovating my little house and transforming my backyard into a food forest keeps me busy.

I still miss the boat, but not as painfully now. The thought of building another does cross my mind. I look at the river, my large shed, and with the much milder climate here – think, why not?
