The deck hatch pallet arrived and was immediately inspected by our in-house quarantine dog. We naturally couldn’t explain to Scout it had come via Singapore on a wooden pallet. This meant it had been through a full fumigation and then quarantine inspection on arrival. This was despite the best efforts of our supplier, Smart Marine in NZ, to have them on a plastic pallet.
We found Smart Marine great to deal with and the free trade with NZ means a excellent starting price. The inclusion of freight via Singapore and goods and services tax into Australia still meant the overall cost was extremely competitive compared to freighting overland from distributors in southern Australia.
