Ply removed, to be replaced by glass.
Stainless 316 tube (OD-19mm ID-16mm Length-100mm) and rod (OD-15.9mm Length-115mm). With the addition of washers and split pins at each end, this becomes a clevis pin.
Cutting up left-over glass blocks.
For attaching a rigging screw fork, two slots will be cut down through the tube and into the glass beneath. The glass will ensure no water gets through to the ply.
Pieces of hose used to protect tube insides from epoxy – useful handles too.
Checking fit.
Aligning to stay attachment point on mast, 28° off the vertical. The relevant lines were transcribed onto clear plastic sheet, and a hole cut out to accommodate the forebeam.
